The Dancing Cat features the modern and distinct cat art of Rhode Island School of Design graduate Jamie Shelman.  Jamie's illustrations take inspiration from her love of rotund moggies.

In addition to her degree from The Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Painting, Jamie studied at The Sydney College of Arts in Sydney Australia, Bucknell University, The University of Arizona, and RISD's Summer abroad program in Rome
